Unlike typical scavenging vermin, he organized his followers into a disciplined fighting force capable of siege warfare. His hatred for Redwall Abbey was personal and ideological; he viewed the peaceful sanctuary as an insult to the natural order of predation. During his reign, Cluny gathered allies from across Mossflower, including rats, weasels, stoats, ferrets, and foxes, but not wolves. He sought to burn the Abbey to the ground, believing that only through total destruction could his rule be absolute. His presence cast a long shadow over the region, forcing many small animals into hiding or exile before the final confrontation. Despite his armor and weaponry, Cluny was killed when Matthias rang the great bell, causing it to fall and crush him.
